Last but not least, we will not forget to mention the main attraction of Stratford: it is the city where the brilliant and universally known William Shakespeare was born! You really mustn’t miss to visit the various houses of his family, his former school and his grave. His works are now regularly performed in the 'Royal Shakespeare Theatre'. Activities
A lot of trips are organized by the school to allow you to discover the places of interest in the region and further afield, among others the castles of Warwick and Kenilworth, Oxford and Cambridge and their famous university colleges, the splendid countryside of the Cotswolds, the cities of Bath and Birmingham, and the capital city London. You will also be able to participate in day or weekend trips to Wales, Cornwall or to the Viking city of York, or even to Scotland. If you love classical music, the concert hall of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) is very famous and offers in its repertoire performances not only from the CBSO but also from other famous orchestras. Do you prefer theatre? Royal Shakespeare and various theatres perform famous Shakespeare plays regularly.
There are also weekly evening activities in the school, for example DVD film evenings, quizzes and parties, and many of these activities are free.
